i am embraced by fire and ice...

both which consume me deep within...

lashing...

licking maliciously at my flesh...

gnawing greedily at my soul...

i bring my hands to my body...wrapping them to comfort myself from the feiry fire that burns in me...i rake my fingers upon my skin...drawing blood as they slice deep into the flesh...

i feel like i have been shattered...

my heart cries for release from this unquenchable pain...

...then i hear shattering glass...i know then...that i am breaking...

...shattered i am.
